Installing AVIC-Z1 on 2002 Trac Plz Help

I just purchased the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 for my 2002 Trac, but ive heard that the '02 Trac has a DIN and a half and is not Double DIN. Does this mean it wont fit at all? I find that very hard to believe. If it "could" fit, what would i need to do?



BTW I really miss my Trac, but im finally having the bumpers and cladding painted black, WOOT!

Also, Ive been looking for a Dash Kit for the Z1. Can someone give me the part # for a Double DIN Trim kit please. Ive been looking on Scosche.com but they only have the double single din ones.

I know some people have put DD radios in thier '01-'05 Tracs, however I am not exactly sure how it was done. The double single din ones are the ones you would need. The middle divider is removable. This is how the kit for my '07 is.

go to this site and i guarantee this will work. some inside the dash mods will need to be made like cutting plastic out of the way. also the retainer in the center of the kit gets removed for a full double din radio.
