Aloha guys, I needed to uninstall Photoshop Elements the other day, When I tried to reinstall it, the installer found bits that it needed to remove prior to instillation of the new program. But, it gives an error and cannot uninstall the old. Now, I can't install the new. Any ideas what I can do? I have tried search for the bits but windows can't remove them either.

Tks for any help Ed

Adobe is pretty good about providing uninstaller tools and good advice for manual removal for situations like this, just Google search for your version:

I agree with TJR, Adobe is pretty good with their install and uninstall packages, but there are so many versions of Windows and so many update patches, that something may have gotten out of sync and causing you problems.

Check the link TJR posted and if that does not work, you can always call Adobe, but you may be in the que for a while before your call gets answered....

Adobe is such a reputable software company and has such good customer service

that I thing if you have a retail copy you can just call them and they will figure out

what you need and provide it for you.

Just a thought.

Thanks guys, if that is the best way, I.ll call them back.
