Id like to compare to what you pay monthly for insurance on your ST.

I feel like i might be paying too much for mine. I only have liability.

2001 Sport Trac

monthly payment of 60.42

six month payment of 362.52

annual payment of 725. 04

Arturo,

Hopefully others in TN, about your age, with older STs, etc, can chime in so that you get an apples to apples comparison. I am sure younger members in NJ or NY with a newer ST would love to pay your rates.

The Sport Trac is $385/6 months w/no deductible in Liability, Med Pay or Comp./$100 on Collision. That's with wifey rear-ending a guy a year ago in her Mustang and a deer T-boning her last year also. It's $425. Have Allstate and have had it since 1970. Also have homeowners with them.

So, I guess I'm not getting stuck too bad............

My 98 F150 SCab 4x4 was only $215 for the same coverages but that was before her wreck. The wreck basically raised my monthly premium $100 a month.

AAA Insurance for Auto & Homeowners

For auto insurance, I was payiing $133 a month, for 3 vehicles.

$500 deductble for collision, $50 deductble for comprehensive, $300K liability limit.

2006 Lincoln Zephyr. (full coverage)

2001 Sport Trac. (Full Coverage)

2001 Escort (LIability Only)

Added my 17 year old Son, driving the Escort, and it went to $205 a month. (He is paying me the $72 a month difference until his $$ runs out) He is looking for a part time job. He will be walking within the next 2 months if he doesnt get on it..

On my 61 Galaxie Sunliner, I use Grundy Worldwide (Gotta love Classic car insurance)

$173 a YEAR, Full coverage for collision, comprehensive, theft, vandalisim, and liability, No deducable. Just agreed that I wouldnt use the car as a daily driver, or to just run errands. Pleasure use and to Shows mostly, and it never sees Snow or rain anyway.

I wish I knew; it's in flux now.

Wisconsin was probably the last state in the Union to have no mandatory car insurance or financial responsibility laws. That finally changed last year. But now that the Republicans have the power, one of their fast track items is to lower the minimums so that I'll be forced to buy uninsured/underinsured coverage at levels like before.

You might want to check and see if your state's legislature has a similar scam in the pipeline.

I worked for the largest Auto insurer in Texas for about 6 years and prices vary by many factors so you cannot just compare price.

Thing that will impact the premium price are your age and the age of other drivers, coverage limits, deductables, driving record, mileage driven per year, and where you live in that state. Larger cities tend to be higher than smaller towns or rural areas. You also get discounts for multiple vehicles and if you carry other lines of insurance with that same company, like homeowners insurance, etc.

A good tip to save on your car insurance is: If you have full coverage for your vehicle, drop all of your uninsured motorist coverage since you existing insurance probably already covers all of those perils.

I currently have GEICO and I pay $355 every 6 months to cover both my 2008 Mercedes and a 2002 Toyota Highlander. That incudes liability of $100K/$300k and $500 deductable on Collision and $100 on Comprehensive. That's assuming 5K miles on each vehicle per year.

I just switched my Homeowners insurance from State Farm to GEICO to be effective February 19th which is $90 cheaper than State Farm and I will also get a discount on my auto insurance from GEICO when I renew my policy in March....I just don't know what the auto insurance will be until after my homeowner insurance becomes active next month.

'08 Sport Trac, '06 Mustang GT convert=$2200/ year. The Harley Ultra Classic is another $668/ year. I must mention that I have very low deductables($500 collision/$100 comprehensive) and very high amounts of coverage($250K/$500K/$50K). Mary and I have no accidents/tickets for the past 20+ years. We've taken defensive driving classes and drive less than 12K per year. You can't be underinsured in New Jersey or you'll bite it in court. Bob

You guys have it nice....I pay $170/month....Canadian $ mind you but still it's a lot for a 32 yr old with only one minor speeding ticket!

I have Allstate. I pay 256.00 for six months for my st. Full coverage with 100.00 dect. Rated at 7500 miles a year. Also have a Focus with the same coverage which I pay 170.00 for six months. I live near Green Bay WI. Also have my house ins. with them. Along with what Richard L said affects your rate, your credit score is also impacts your rate. My last renewal said this is our lowest rate based on your credit score. Insurance companys figure people with low credit scores have more accidents. Just another way they get together and jack their rates.

i used to pay $80 but i got a ticket for making an illegal left turn and it was my first ticket ever my almost 10 years of driving and it jumped to $120 and i am in MA
