Hi - i was wondering if I would use a Ford Ipod adapter if i don't have the headunit w/sat. I have the factory HU w/in dash 6 cd changer and don't think I have the add'l input needed for the adapter.

Thanks in advance.

USA SPEC makes an adapter, here is their website:

I am using one of their adapters. It works well enough but I am getting some interference from the alternator.

Hi, I'm using the ipod2car adapter with the Pioneer 6cd changer. You piggyback the connection to the back of the HU and tap in the cigarette lighter for power. I mounted the unit under the center console and ran the cable up through the bin. It charges my ipod and I can control it through the dash controls, it can only has basic controls (F, FFW, B,RW) but it works for me. They're jacked up the price since I first bought it so you might pay about $180 for the whole package.
