Ok. I'm getting an ipod nano and here is what i want to do.

I have a pioneer headunit and will be getting the adapter to connect the ipod directly to the pioneer stereo, so I don't need an fm transmitter.

But, I want a mount for the ipod for the car. Anyone had any experience or know where to get a car mount for the ipod nano that does not have a built in fm transmitter, and preferably is a charging unit as well?

Thanks

You could do something like this. Its in the projects section of the website. Its what Ihave running right now[Broken External Image]:

Depends what you're looking for? Something integrated, or something quick and easy? I had the same setup as Big D for my old iPod, but with the nano, I found it was so light it was easier just to hang it off the rear view mirror.

The cable provides both power and audio out.

i have that mount tyler. it's an fm transmitter, but the volume is pretty crappy. i have a new setup now, but i still use it as a mount, and as a car charger. it works.

I just want a simple mount. I don't want to use it as a transmitter. I would just like a nice holder that I can mount to my center console. Any ideas?

Go out to ProClip. These are GREAT mounts. you buy the vehicle mountip, and then the specific device holder for the device you want. Go under 2006 Ford Explorer if you have a 2007 Sport Trac, or they have the SPort Trac for the other years.

I just bought the mount for next to the radio, no screws and clips right in. And then put a holder for a Motorola V551 on it. Can do an iPod holder or whatever. Great company and VERY quick delivery.
