Did a quick search for timing chain tensioners because it is probably high time I changed mine. Did not come up with any Motorcraft available, other than some questionable deals on ebay, (have not contacted ford yet) but Cloyes are available. I know they used to be "the shit" at one time. Any idea if they still hold a good rep?

Melling is another company known to make OEM parts for car companies. Any input on if these two companies can be trusted or should I continue the search for Motorcraft? Someone had to make the tensioners for Ford, chances are it was one of these two companies.

Have installed several sets of Motorcraft tensioners without failure, only 1 set of Cloyes about 2 years ago in a friends 2005 Explorer, thats still running without issue. Those Cloyes tensioners look well made externally, have a better gasket/seal/washer than the Motorcraft, thicker easier to line up & install. Thats my limited experience.
