Is it safe to drive?

I have a ST01 Job 1, THe codes come up P0171, 174. I know it a Vacuum Issue but is it safe to drive a long distance with this problem. Will I stall somewhere on the highway?



Any input would be appeciated.

If it is a vaccum leak and you dont fix you can burn a valve just food for thought. Bill

Yes fix it soon..the ECU will always be trying to compensate the tune of the engine...it can cause other problems...

I am glad the CEL came on when it did on our truck...prompted me to switch vehicles with my wife before her yearly holiday trip. Thankfully I came back to the message board since having been away awhile and found the problem posted with pics in another thread.

Vacuum leak can suck dirt into the engine and lean out the fuel mix for a cylinder. Don't drive it with a leak!
