Is the bed totally plastic? Looked underneath and ....

Is the bed totally plastic? Looked underneath and what I saw at a glance is a bed that looks like it has molded re-inforcements going across it. Anybody know for sure if it is in fact totally plastic? Anybody ever have their bed off?

Totally plastic. I remember seeing photos here of an ST that caught on fire. Everything that was plastic was gone, including the molded composite bed.

Everything burned but the tail gate.

I was a bit shocked too when I looked underneath and realzied the bed is completely plastic and that side wall are fiberglass or some type of plastic (including the rear bumper).

I drilled a 2" hole in the forward wall to mount a recessed bed light.



My arms itched for two days, suspect some fiberglass going in with the mix.
