Here's an old, but highly regarded tutorial that many have used through the years. Instructions apply to the two sensor housing used on 2001-03 Sport Tracs. If you have a 2004-05 that uses only the ECT sensor, use the single sensor housing that eliminates the second sensor port that is plugged. Not a real difficult job, just a very confined space and takes time and patience if done correctly. We're all here to help if needed. Good luck!

I was expecting to have to do this replacement, when replacing the radiator I discovered to my surprise and pleasure that mine already had the metal thermostat housing ;-)
