The problem with US (Obama's) strategy is this that ISIS knows it will only be short lived. When we bomb their bases and training centers, ISIS will just go and hide among the civilian population where the US coalition will inflict more collateral damage to innocent civilians and turn them against the US.
Until you put boots on the ground, going door to door looking for members of ISIS you will never truly destroy them. Once you remove the Boots on the ground, ISIS will regenerate.
We inflicted serious damage to AlQueda (sp?) but they still exist and have many other spin-off terrorist groups. We cut off the head, but the snake still lives.
The Iraqis and Syrians cannot be trusted to use their boots to go door to door to destroy ISIS
And even if ISIS is destroyed, another terrorist group will step up to take over.
