JD, just wanted to let you know I received my box and amp I bought from you and it looks great. The only thing I'm trying to figure out is if I want to cut the storage compartment or just take the whole thing out. I plan on keeping my ST until it dies, but if I do cut it and have to get rid of it for whatever reason, there goes some of the value of the vehicle. The box will only be behind the small seat in the back on the driver side. Do the rear seats rely on the storage compartment for support? I guess what I'm trying to say is if i take the storage compartment out, how much of a gap will be between the large rear seat to the rear of the cabin? I'll find out this weekend anyway, but I'm just wanting to know what to expect and if I need to make something to help support to large rear seat. Thank you for any suggestions.

I think he is away this week with his motorcycle at VIR for track time. Don't be suprised if he doesn't answer you right away! The rear seats do not rely on the storage bin for support. If it was mine, I would remove it all together. In the event that you have to sell it (even thoug you don't plan to) you could just pop the piece back in. Looks like it was back to factory. I would think harder about buying a vehicle that was hacked into. Would make me thing what else has been done to it??

I agree with A1, just take the entire back panel out. That way in case you do sell it, you won't have to worry about buying a new panel to replace your chopped up one. Then you can recycle your sub box through the website :D I think that the gap between the rear seat is somewhere around 8 or 9 inches.

I would have to agree with both posts above.

I purchased an extra rear compartment peice to be able to cut it, they can be had pretty cheap and would look a little more finished but other than that serves no purpose.

I cut my compartment. No big deal. No it's not a JDbox, it's one I made, but the principal is the same.
