My snow blower has been having this issue since it was new. It's never acted up when I brought it in for repair.
It's off warranty now.
It's stuck in gear sort of. It doesn't require the drive lever and just goes. When I release the drive control, it doesn't stop. I can shift it from forward speeds 1-6 and both reverse speeds 1-2 and all speeds work perfect.
Normally when I'm not holding down the drive lever, it slips into neutral and doesn't move.
It doesn't free wheel at all.
