Okay so I'm still working on John Johnstones Sport Trac that I bought off his daughter and have been restoring and fixing it up the way he would have wanted. I had a dana 44 solid axle put on the front the and swapped out the rear with a matching axle (this took forever - mainly because the original shop let it sit for 9 months before I finally yanked it and put it in another shop). So I'm tinkering with small things to get it to be able to pass inspection, the horn won't work. I've replaced the clock spring, and it had an after market alarm that has been removed so it's got odd wires going to the horn. I tried just plugging up the new horn and get a very very faint sound from it. Any ideas? Can someone e-mail or post up a picture of how the wiring lookings going to their horn please?

Here's a link to the SAS that was done on her

Possible the horn relay . Bad or not making good contact in the power box. Since you say the sound is very weak. Might get someone to actuate the horn button and measure the voltage @ the horn wires.

Just a thought...

Unless someone beats me to it. I try and scan the horn wiring, tommorrow. From my '04 wiring manual.

I can post it here or email it to you as a .jpeg......

Edit; went to your link for pics. Im not a member of that board.

Well, it's pretty and all, but the other is also 125db and a lot more compact and easier to install. Of course, there are those who would mount them on the roof.
