SO I just got my Xcal2 in the mail today... I ran the Diagnostics test cause I have had a check engine light issue for a little while now.

I want to know if anyone has had the same trouble codes and what I can do to resolve them before I start adding more power to the trac.

Here are the codes with what I am to believe are the definitions but I am not too sure cause they confuse me!

P0442 - Leak in Evaporative System... I have no idea what this means...

P1000 - OBDII Monitor Testing Incomplete... and finally

P1401 - Differential Pressure Feedback Electronic Sensor Circuit High Voltage

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT WITH THESE?!?!!??!

My first plan of attack would be to replace the DPFE sensor, a common problem, then clear the codes. Drive it for a few days to see if the check engine light comes back on.

If or when it does come back on, then you can start chasing the other problems, if any.

You may have the hose that goes in the drivers side wheel well falling off, There was a recall for that, second as tom said the dpfe sensor is probably bad.

As for the incomplete, thats because you disconnected the battery or reset the check engine light recently and did not drive the truck enough.

THIRD, I am sorry, But people need to address issues before taking on performance things and make sure the truck is running fine. I just cant believe how many posts i see about check engine lights on for years, and tranny's slipping for months... Don't cry when the truck has a breakdown because of lack of maintance...

Thanks guys for the quick replies! :D It's very appreciated.

First off my check engine light came on only a couple of weeks ago, this was a recurring problem.. I had my dealership do a diagnostics check when it first came on a few months back and they said that it was due to my vacuum hose being detached. Needless to say 120 dollars later the light was off.

It came on recently again and I figured I'd wait til I got the xcal2 to figure this out on my own.. or with all your help ;)

I'll check that drivers side hose right away.. thanks Todd. Is this visible from the engine bay or below?

I found the link from another post of this issue... thanks again to Todd and his ST knowledge!

I want to get this done asap as I can't wait to program my trac.. its been tough to hold off but I know it is best to get things fixed first.
