Like the title says, I just installed Explorer lighted sunvisors in my 2002 ST.

These visors came with Dual visors, lighted mirrors, and A Homelink/ instant message recorder. I have figured out how to use the instant message part, but I dont know how all the other buttons work or what they do. They only had two wires to hook up on each side.

Does anyone know what or how these other buttons work?

Thanks

KElly

THE OTHER BUTTONS ARE FOR GARGE DOOR OPENERS. GO TO WWW.HOMELINK.COM AND THERE IS INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PROGRAM THEM. I DID THE SAME SWAP ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND I HAVE GOT TO SAY IT IS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I HAVE DONE TO THE ST. HOPE THIS HELPS

Wow. You got yours for 40 bucks?!?!? I put them in my '01 back when I had it, and they cost me 125 bucks. Worth every penny though. I even put homelink in my '07 when I got it. Why they didn't offer it as an option I have no idea. The '07 one is built into the rear view mirror.

I dig the mod. I had a pair of visors lined up from a U-Pull-It, until pops asked what if the Trac was stolen and the opener used to open the garage. Though I doubted anyone would bring my own car to my place, it still did enough to scare me off. My garage opener is a tiny, tiny one on my keychain, so it always travels with me...

Thanks for the Homelink web address. It was very easy to program! Too bad you can only put in 3 garage doors or other imput devices.

I got the visors from E-Bay! The sellers store is :LKQonline. They were very quick to ship as well!

As far as a Project write up goes. Since I've already completed the project I cant show actuall installation pictures, but I can tell you they hook up the same way as the regular lighted visors. The only difference is the Homelink side has a Gr and Black wire. Put the green wire to the positive side of your circuit.

If any one needs more specifics please e-mail. If there is a lot of interest I could maybe write up a project.
