hey all hows everyone holding up not much flooding in my area but alot of down trees roads blocked and power flickers and im Sunrise blvd and the Turnpike.
I'm on Glades Rd... Power flickers occasionally. A lot of branches are down nothing too major although there is a decent amount of flooding in my neighborhood. I really need to get out of the house I'm so bored.
Deerfield Beach behind Brandsmart. Very wet, small trees down, some pretty good wind gusts. Small tree actually fell into the 05 Sport Trac but no damage.
Went through a cat 4 and cat 3 last year. Right through the eye wall on both (made landfall a few miles from home). THAT was a crazy time. Wind here has picked up, but Katrina is cake compared to Frances and Jeannie.
My wife's name is Katrina. She says that she is getting a lot of teasing about the now Cat 2 Hurricane; even though she lives 3000 miles away! My wife has a reputation as being tough and stubborn, like a hurricane.
I haven't seen her for a month, I wish I was home to defend her.
I hope all the ST'rs in Florida and the Gulf Coast states make it through this okay. It looks like it could hit the pan handle area with more steam.

No hurricane is a walk in the park. Prepare early and stay safe. I'm in southwest dade and the forcast said 40mph winds, we had 90+. Don't underestimate any storm. The people predicting the potential path are all taking a stab in the dark. If you are anywhere in the "Cone of Death" be ready.
