kids off to school

Today was the kids(2 girls-7&5) first day of school and my wife's first day back to work(teachers aide). It's only for a couple of hours. Man!! Where did the summer go!:huh:

My youngest starts kindergarten in a week. I'm taking the day off to see him get on the bus. Where did the summer go?...How about where did the last five years go?! My oldest is going to be thirteen and starts junior-high...Am I getting old or what?!

My little girl (5 next fri) started kindergarden last week. She loves riding the bus and going to school. As Bart said, where did the last five years go? Before you know it my son (2 next wed) will be a starting lineman for the Auburn Tigers, I can't wait. Yes I can.

We still have over 2 weeks before the kids head back here, but you see everyone gearing up for it and next thing you know Christmas decorations will be out!

My wife started back on 8-1 (elementary teacher)...this class started 8-14..

I can relate, somewhat, I have a 5 month old son and it seems like it was yesterday he was born. Next thing I know I will be sending him and my money off to college!!!

My 3 yo son had his first day in pre-K this week. It was great seeing the little guy in his school uniform. He will have an easy time- his class is 12 girls and 2 boys..

Be sure to slow down in the school zones! An intersection at my friends neighborhood has already claimed two lives in the past month because of people speeding on their street where a lot of kids are in the area. Add the kids going back to school and it is bound to happen again.
