I know I've heard that with the four major networks (sorry, but CW still doesn't count as a major network in my book), the local affiliates are broadcasting everything in HD that they receive in HD from the networks. So that likely means that I can get all the primetime programming in HD, and it therefore is likely worthwhile for me to upgrade. (We don't have cable or satellite, so the fact that other cable channels are still analog is irrelevant to me.)
