Lift question

is it possible to lift the truck without buying a lift kit. i know if you tighten the torsion bars in a ranger you can get lik an inch lift, can you do the same with the ST?

yes you can you can get about 1.5" with no problem and still have a good ride.i have 265 75 16 mud tires with a TT/SL

all you do is jack up the front to take the load off the suspension and tighten up he bolts set it down and drive it back and forth to compress the suspension and measure both sides to make it even, it is good to measure before also. you will need an alignment after.

exactly what bpoche said...and in my opinion spend the 50-60 bucks for lift shackles to go with the torsion twist...i am getting ready to do the same to my S/T

I did a TT and made my own shackles. The ride changes to be a little stiffer so go ahead and get new shocks too![Broken External Image]:

Rule of thumb on Sport Tracs (and late-model Rangers, I had two) is that they are cheap to lift a little and expensive to lift a lot.
