ok i just recieved my flex light bar(pacer) it cals for attaching red wire to a constant power source and the white wire for back up light. what would be the best location for these too splices too be made. pacer outback f 5 model 20-822.

yes that part is ok but it also has a red wire and a white red must be connected too a continous hot lead. just wonder where though or can i splice in to brake light in housing.

There should be a hot back there. A charge line for your trailer. Do you have the 7pin plug? Should be able to open up a harness going to the brake light if you need to. But all wires should be at the plug
 
no only have 4 pin plug which match's w/ light set but says need a constant hot (red wire)

and a extra white for back up. but w/ just plug in light comes on w/ head lights. thought this would be easier but that ok live and learn
