Gerry, I am intrested. I have a bed extender w/o the mounting bolts. Does this rack require the cross bars? Where are you located?

Nice set up!!! Congrats bpoche!! Wish I could have gotten to it sooner :p

Ben,

Interesting story goes with the shipping of these. I went to my neighbourhood, UPS Store, a franchise not a company location. They measured the boxes and told me $144.00 plus 14% tax. I was floored. Told them no thanks, and went to Canada Post They had a better idea, $98.00 each box. Now I know I'm in trouble, as you can guess because you know what you paid for the rack. I take the boxes to the UPS Corporate Head Office in Wiinnipeg here. The kid in the receiving area is "known to me". He takes the boxes, weighs them at 47 lbs., charges me $77.00 and we say good-bye.

I had checked online to determine shipping costs and was told $70,00.

The moral of the story is that UPS Store was attempting to charge by an inflated weight of 158 lbs. based on the size of the boxes. Not nice at all.

They tried to do that to me when I went to ship a bed extender. I was told it was being charged in the 100lb range due to the size and it was going to cost about $120 to ship.

So I went to Greyhound...yes...the bus station, and shipped it for about $35.
