I drove the family 3400+kms to Lacrose, Wisconsin from Victoria, BC in 2 days. The DVD system I installed payed off big time for my 1 and 3 year olds! The Trac was excellent, no problems at all. I had the cruise control set at about 85mph nearly the whole way. First night stay was in Rapid City, North Dakota and then a quick 700 mile drive to Lacross. I just beat the gas price increase by a few hours!! Will be back home on Sep 18 at which time I will report on my fuel milage.

Hopefully by then the fuel costs will level out a bit because right now they are pretty brutal. I am not really looking forward to another long drive, but it is fun doing road trips!

Glad to here it !!... HAVE a safe return!

cop on my back. I may be just a little worried here. And I realize you have a long way to go. But for the sake of your 1 & 3 year olds 85 mph seems a little fast. BE careful please for all of your sakes. I was a fast driver for years and almost paid the price on several occasions. People are stupid today. Even if you drive great, one wrong turn from the fool on your side BAM! Don't want to lose you. Lecture over enjoy yourself. :)

Yes I am the same Cop on my back on TMS, the 05 pony is in the garage at home.

As for driving 85mph, that is pretty much the norm for I 90 give or take 5mph. At night I drove way slower, around 65-70, because of wildlife. The interstate is very safe, very little traffic and no cross traffic at all. The opposite directions of traffice are sepparated by a huge grass merridian or are in completely different areas not even visible.

I appreciate you concern, I can assure you, my kids are important and I would never endanger them. There is a time and place to speed, and from what I have seen, I 90 is the place.

Cool! I thought as much. Amazing to be running into other stangers, and especially fellow MG owners, at non- Mustang forums...
