I have a 2003 Sport Trac XLT with the 6 cd deck and subwoofer and am looking to replace the

thing now that the 'seek' seems to have lost it's mind.

I'm hoping to get some ideas and reviews from those of you who have changed over your own system. A GPS would be nice, but not necessary. Iphone and bluetooth would also be a nice addition. I've looked on Crutchfield and wasn't too impressed by their suggestions.

Thanks!

Try pulling both fuses then reinstalling. Sometimes a complete reboot, solves glitches in these units.

Checkout SonicElectronix.com I've slowly but surely bought quite a bit from them and am consistently happy with them.

Get yourself a simple single-DIN headunit that has Front USB and Front AUX IN. Then just buy a Thumb-Drive and fill it with your MP3's and you're good to go.

I personally have a SONY CDX-GT630UI... which is now replaced by the 640. It's cheap and has great controls for when you're ready to step up to having after-market amps connected to your system.

If you're looking to upgrade your subwoofer... pretty easy to make a box with a 10"shallow-mount and to power it I highly recommend this insanely cheap HITRON HA-1000.1 amp for $69 that states it puts out 600 W RMS @ 2 Ohms. It makes my single 12" conventional subwoofer setup shake EVERYTHING and FLEX my ROOF nicely!

Welcome to your new addiction! ;)
