Just looking for any recommendations to bring my 07 Sport trac in for a stud manifold warranty repair. Steven's Ford is right down the street from me but I've had problems with them and just went on-line and they have horrible reviews. Understand most people who write reviews are either real happy or real upset but I don't think I can stomach them again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was in New haven.. and I used

Colony Ford Llc

1179 East Main Street, Meriden, CT 06450-4819, United States +1 203-238-1100

They were very good with Warranty work even though I did not buy from them.. and they were also very good with My ST even after the warranty was out..

I also went to Stevens Ford and was not happy.. They even told me.. they would not talk to me when I was looking for a Truck.. because I looked like I could not afford to buy.. and I was just kicking tires and bothering them.. So I told them I will take my LOTTO winnings somewhere else..

then the manager came running out..

I use Family Ford, Shaker Ford family. Might be too out of the way for you. They use to be in Waterbury. I purchased 3 vehicles from the and I've always been happy.

i deal with dowling ford in chesire. not sure how far it is from you, but they are a very honest family run biz.

good luck

DO NOT GO TO STEVEN'S FORD

It is the worst (and most expensive) dealership in the world.

They ruined my wife's Durango by replaceing the head gasket but not changing the oil, the oil baffels got plugged up and it ruined the engine.

Every she took it in there they told her it needed brakes until I started to ask for the old ones back, then all the sudden the brakes were fine.

I took my Trac in for an oil change and they tried same break stunt, except I'd only changed my brakes 2000 mi ago.

These guys are crooks in anybodys book.

I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place as I have spent hours researching Ford dealers in CT and they all have the same reviews with very few exceptions - not good. Again, most people who take the time to write the reviews either had a great or horrible experience. I feel like if I say to much to a manager or service advisor they will think I am a know it all...

On a seperate note I'm also kind of getting tired of Fords. I have been a huge Ford guy...96 Sport, 01 Sport, 03 Eddie Bauer Explorer and 07 ST. Last two I still have. 03 EB I've had to replace A/C condensor, front wheel bearing, alternator and trans at 83k...I have 96k now...07 ST now has developed this manifold stud problem and sounds like one of the front wheel bearings is starting to go...plus I need to have the trans bump issue fixed...I'm sure each manufacturer has their issues but I'm starting to get a bad taste in my mouth. BTW, I maintenance the crap out of all my vehicles...oil changes, trans/dif flushes, tune-up, air filter changes, new belts, etc. Point being is I don't beat the thing up and expect miracles...

Sorry to hear that the the 2 Ford dealers merged.. because Colony ford was very good to me..

the one in Branford was also a good place.. but were usually busy. Which in my book means they are good..
