Looking for info on Nathaniel Hawthorn?

Yes, I realize there is a TON of info out there on him.



But... I am looking for something that was profoundly negative if something to that nature exists. Sooo, if any of you have ever done research on him or just have some info that would help me do my research paper I would appreciate it.



Basically, I have to argue why he should or should not belong to the Literally Canon. I am looking for some negative stuff to help with the arguments.
