Sorry to have to post this in the ST forums, but it's my favorite resource!
My dad has a 95 Escort with the standard engine. The plastic cap on the windishiled washer fluid reservoir cracked, so he needs a new one. It's just a little black plastic cap with a molded in strap that connects to a collar that goes around the stem of the reservoir. The strap "hinge" failed, causing the cap to get lost.
I contacted Ford Parts Network, and I'm told that this part is $147.14. I laughed, and pointed out that it must be the wrong part, since the description reads "Cooling - Radiator and components - Reservoir Reservoir".
The reply I received is "The part number despite what your pointing out in the description is 100% correct "
MAYBE the whole reservoir might cost this... but I'm be surprised. And certainly the cap doesn't cost this much. And the cap is not integrated, so there's no reason to but the whole reservoir.
Can somebody help me locate a correct part number, part ,or price for this piece?
