Alisa - the benefit is two fold. If you still have the stock air box on the trac it will increase the air flow. More Air, more performance. The second advantage is if this is truely a cold air, meaning the air is comming from someplace other then the engine compartment, the air is cooler, which means it will be more dense. Again, more is better. I'm not sure if this kit will go into the wheel well like Todd Z's kit will. I hope this helps.
