You have two ways for this to happen.
You can either;
1). Allow the four gallon container to fall off the top of your elevated washer (front load sitting on a pedestal) and EXPLODE as I did. Or;
2). if step one does not get enough liquid all over, (walls, washer, dryer, shoes and coats), then throw the container to the ground in which it probably still will not explode as mine did. If not, proceed to beat it with a bat until there is three drops left within the walls of the container...
Now, once the liquid is out of the container let it run where ever it wants to for about 20 minutes or so, ( I was upstairs changing the sheet when I figure this explosion happened).
Walk into the laundry room to swap out the clothes and discover a SEA of Downy Fabric Softener. I simply turned the laundry baskets over and started to wipe it up. Figured might as well get some good out of it...
When I got it to a controllable point, I got paper towels so that I could wipe down the walls and the shoes we have in there.
The downy cleans leather shoes unlike anything I have seen. It makes them nice and soft and they smell good too..LOL
It is not too good for Swede type shoes.... I will have to try to clean them up somehow.
If you think a quart of oil spreads out and covers a fairly large area, just wait until you try it with 4 gallows of Downy... LOL
