Hey everyone, got in last night in Albany, Ga from NJ. 20 hours in the ST, no stops other then bathroom and gas. GPS made some mistakes and sent us the long way. The new shocks are awesome, what a ride! I found out one very important thing, don't take long road trips on Christmas night b/c gas stations are not open. Ran out of gas coming down an off ramp and coasted to a stop 50 feet from the entrance to the gas station. We drove for over 50 miles trying to find an open gas station before our luck ran out. Should I do anything like throw in a fuel system cleaner into the gas tank to clean out any sludge I picked up form the bottom of the tank? This happened at about 330 miles into the trip and we drove another 800 miles after that with no noticeable problems. Any MYST members down here? I'm here till Friday night!

You can't hurt by putting some cleaner in.

Seriously doubt that you will have any issue even if you don't though.

Good maintenance thing to do just the same...

Glad you made your trip safely. Enjoy............

Glad you had a safe trip....

I don't think you caused any harm what so ever. You can throw a bottle of cleaner in there, but that may even be a waste...

I know it is illegal but when I go in long trips I carry a small gas can 1 gallon or so in the bed of the truck just in case....

Have a safe return trip!!

Todd, when I ran out in front of the gas station I bought a 1 gallon container there and filled it up for the rest of the trip JIC

Steve, I'll definitely come to an NNJ meet. I love the K&N, nice little power boost and great sound!
