Ron, the extra .9mpg from the 91 octane is roughly a 4.2% increase over the 86 octane. Therefore, at $3.50 a gallon, you save 14.7 cents per gallon, plus whatever satisfaction you get from the performance. Until gas hits $4.77 a gallon, it is technically cheaper to use the 86 octane. Once it passes the $4.77 mark, you will save money using the 93 octane. Just FYI.
