o.k. I have rarely owed a vehicle for more than a few years and have not had one over 50,000 miles. I now have decided to keep my 03 ST for a while since I like it so much and the fact that I now have a growing family and my money doesn't go as far anymore. My 03 is now approaching 50,000 miles and my ? is what should I have done to it as far as maintinance. I do the regular oil, lube, tires, air, etc. but should I have the other major fluids changed or flushed, alignment and so on. I just don't want to take it to a dealership and say here it is do your thing... Thanks in advance:)

Hey mike, My fiancé has the same last name!!...

Any who.. At 60K the coolant should be changed... also fuel filter. I don't think ford recommends any thing else till 100K but for my personal vehicles i would change all the gear boxes, brake fluid p/s fluid as well.. AN alignment i would get with new tires...

Read the owners manual It has a good guide line to follow for maintenance..

To build on what Todd has already said, I think new belt, upper and lower hoses, thermostat, and cooling system flush and fill should also be done.

If you have flushed the Tranny by now, you really need to do it.

I would change the transfer case lube also if it's a 4x4. Think about doing the differentials. The local Valvoline Qwicky-Lube does a diff fluid change for only $39.95. (I'll do it myself next time because I have a new suction gun to play with. :D )
