Metal or Phenolic piston calipers?

Swapped out my rear calipers on Monday and everything is working as it should now. Not sure how I managed to damage both rears in the first place. I have the tool to compress the pistons back in. Made sure they were both centered so that they didn't get pressed in sideways. Opened the bleeder valves while they were being compressed. They just didn't want to work as they were supposed to after I put the new rotors/pads on them. Clamping wasn't the problem, but the release was.

At any rate, I paid attention when I removed the old ones and the factory calipers on my 2007 Limited V8 4x4 were Phenolic, not metal. Just wanted to answer the question for the future if anyone was using the Search and wanted to know.
