Hi--
My wife is an ELL (English Language Learners) kindergarten teacher. She and a coleague are working on a display for a classroom of theirs, where they want to have the letters of the alphabet listed, and at least one mode of transportation that starts with each letter. For example, "B" will have boat, bus, and blimp. "W" will have wagon and wheelchair. "I" will have ice skates. "Z" will have zamboni. Etc.
There are several letters that they are having difficulty finding any good possibilities. Obviously they can't get too out there with the names--no specific names for military vehicles or anything like that, as even a regular kindergartner, let alone an ELL kindergartner, would have difficulty with those terms, and have no value to learning them at that age.
Do any of you have any suggestions for the following letters? Thanks!
