Can anyone tell me if there is a way to alter the amp on my 2005 Adrenalin so that as I increase the volume, the sub low end does not cut out? As I increase the volume, the sub reaches a certain point and then gets no lowder. I don't want to replace any of the components, just want them to work better. Also, I have never seen the sub wired the way it is. It has the leads running into the subs in two places, any ideas?

im not sure what the answer could be for this, best answer your going to get is to upgrade the amp. on my 04 adrenalin i took the stock 10" sub out and it was hard wired with 4 wires. when i flipped the sub out, it said 50watt + 50watt, so that would be why it had 2 lead going into it. why they did it this way, im unsure, id almost say they had in plans to have 2 subs but when it came down to it, they only gave one. so in all form, our amp is really a 6 channel amp. i took the 10" out and put a rockford 8" in.

but again, best solution your prolly going to have is to just replace the amp. im going to be switching my lows and highs up to a PPI PCX 440 amp and use a PPI PCX 2150 amp going to a JL Audio 10w1v2 with 1 in the adrenalin enclosure and 1 in a probox enclosure.

sorry couldnt really help... someone else chime in..

Thanks! I wasn't sure if there was anything I could do short of changing up gear. I had a couple 10" MTX RoadThunders with a Fosgate 600 watt amp, but that was in my old 02 Trac and I had removed it when I bought the new 05, and then several weeks later, left the garage door open all night, no more amp or speakers. So wasn't in any hurry to spend the that amount again.

BUT, if there is anybody out there that can still give some advice, I would be thankful!

Go with aftermarket. Sorry about the loss, I have been through that crap before. Ripped right out of the car, 3 times... Once in a M:(alibu and then in a Camaro Z28 and in my IROC Z.

I'm in your same shoes bud, I actually just replaced the stock sub with a pioneer 8 inch shallow mount, its a single coil so its not getting as much power as the stock one but as soon as I add the 10 inch shallow mount on the other side it will produce more power then after i upgrade the amp to a 5-channel, or 6-channel then it will be push even more. That amp is very small for being a "6" channel amp so i think you're best best is as above...upgrade the amp. besides. the amp will not let you do any tinkering with levels and filters and frequency bypasses so I suggest getting an amp that will allow you to do so.
