Monroe Sense-Trac Shock

I am looking to buy some shocks. I have decided to go with the Monroe Sensa-Tracs. The guy selling these to me says he purchased them for a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport 2WD. I checked with the Monroe website and it list the same shock part number for this vehicle as well for the Sport Trac. I just need some to confirm that they will fit without a problem.



The front shocks part number is 37177. The rear shocks part number is 37035. Im also concerned about the shocks not having the yellow Monroe decal on them. They have the red outlined gray lettering Sensa-Trac only. He also has the receipt to them for the warranty. With that receipt I will be able to claim new ones when the time comes correct?

Look on the shock body itself. The part # will be stamped on the shock. I recently put sensa-tracs on my moms car. Only one had the decal.

Mine didn't have any stickers on them at all. If its the same part number then they should be just fine. I had mine installed by a shop (family friends) and when I get my ball joints done next month they are going to most likely do the shocks under warranty as well on them. They have around 60K miles on them and were great at first, but have gone pretty soft now.

I think the front shock is different for 2WD vs 4WD... Be sure it looks the same as the ones you have now...

4wd shocks will work on 2wd. But 2wd shocks wont fit 4wd. they will rub the front axles. Some shocks only come 4wd version for both. Ranchos for one. they sell 4wd shock for both aplications.

I had Sensa Tracs on my old 05 Sport Trac. Not a hard ride but definitely better than stock.

NAPA store brand shocks are relabeled Sensa Tracs.

thats what these were. the guy said he paid 297 at napa. i can find them for 174 online. i was just hopin to get them for atelast 120 from this guy but i missed out my chance.

I went with Monroe Reflex, but Sensa-Trac is good also.

Monroe Sensa-Trac: Front # 37122 = $35.79 Ea.

Monroe Sensa-Trac: Rear # 37035 = $31.79 Ea.



Thats $135.16 + tax and shipping. Just a thought.
