The moonroof is stuck in the vent position and the rain is on its way! The fuse is fine! The switch clicks but nothing happens. Is there a way to close it manually? Please help! Thanks.

Sounds like the motor is shot. I think the motor is located under the headliner. It should have a manual close nut or screw on it. This happened to me once on a older 95 Explorer and that how I got mine closed.

Thanks! I will check it out quick!

Wait! how to get headliner off?

Awesome! Thanks TRACket Paul I love this site.

Pull a portion of the edging from the sunroof opening at the overhead console and pull the console down. There are two friction clips near the front (windshield area). You'll see the motor. Near the back center part of the motor you will see a hex shaped opening with a yellowish plastic center which is spring loaded. Use a 4mm hex wrench/bit to rotate the mechanism to close the sunroof. Sorry,I don't know which direction is needed to close it from Vent position. A powered drill is recommended.

The motor itself is mounted with two #25 torx screws if you need to remove it.
