Hello all. I'm about to be in the process of installing my stereo finally. Curious question...

Those who have the box mounted behind the back seat. Is it bolted/fixed to the rear wall or just sitting there? I want to mount my box to the wall along with my CAP and brains for my TV's. Also want to make an amp rack to sit just below the bottom of the rear window and above my enclosure. What would be about the best way to mount all these items to the wall? I know using some wood would do wonders for a nice flat space, but how would I mount it to the rear wall? Easy just to drill holes and not use very long bolts/screws? Don't want to come in contact with the window. I will connect the new wall to the enclosure for added strength. I will be ripping out all the plastic/carpet and other crap back there. Only thing remaining will be the metal wall.

My plan is to make a good stationary area, then rip all back out, fiberglass it, and then do something other stuff to clean it up. Just wanted to find out about the best ways to be able to mount a bunch of stuff behind the rear seat. Thanks in advance to any and those who can be of any assistance.

My dual 10's were always just held in by the seat.

Mounting to the back wall should work fine for the amp rack, you will just have to be careful about the window like you said. Self-tapping sheet metal screws should work alright. If I remember correctly there are ridges all along the back wall so you might try to hit those with the screws to give yourself a little extra wiggle room before you would hit the window.
