MPG and computer chip retuning?

Those of you who have installed computer retuning devices....what is your actual experience with increased miles/gallon? I realize there are additional performance improvements but I am wondering about mpg increases and how long it takes to recoup the cost of the investment? Thanks in advance.

I was averaging 16 , When I drove to Louisville with 1200 lbs of stuff in the truck I got 24 MPG on that trip. I also believe it was more than the unloaded tracs that where with me...



at a gain of 8 Conservative miles It would take a very long time for it to pay for it self, BUT the way the truck runs and performs is a huge difference..

Will someone expain what this is about? What is computer retuning? How hard a mod is this?

You buy a tuner and it plugs into the OBD-II port on any Ford vehicle and you download a custom tune to your computer. And I just happen to have a tuner that I will sell. See the Swap and Sell.

I have 01 & use Xcal, Great improevment up to 60mph,after that not much better than original
