Just for kicks since I wasn't in a hurry yesterday, I reset the dashboard mpg thingy, went the 20 miles on the PA Turnpike between my offices going the 65 mph speed limit, cruise on, and helped somewhat by a 55 mph construction zone about 2 miles long, I knocked down 23.7 mpg on a not totally level road.

4x4 4.0 Sport Trac, K&N drop-in, Gibson exhaust.

I've actually got it to 48mpg once with my V8.

Simple, travel to 41mph (shifts to 6th gear), on a flat road, no wind, maintain for a little while, reset the MPG and release the gas pedal...then take a picture! :bwahaha:

Traveling I-80 through Wyoming, right at the border with Utah I filled up. I got back on the highway and started climbing a monster hill. Some would call it a mountain? Anyway, when I got to the top I realized I hadnt reset the MPG. When I did, I was accelerating past 75 MPH and put it in neutral just as I started down the mountain. I coasted it all the way up to AT LEAST 105 MPH, and the dash showed 60 MPG! No picture though. Maybe next time I drive through there I will have it ready.

My best is 21 mpg for a tank of driving to work and back, mostly 55-65mph with a few stop and goes between the house and work. Usually I'm at 16-17mpg for combined driving.

I just took the first real road trip in my 09 Adrenalin V8. From Okla. to Ohio. Maxed out at 23.5 mpg on a nice long straight stretch in Indiana, but am averaging a good strong 22.4!! Mostly stock, K& N cold air kit and flowmaster series 44 muffler. I have an SCT from Torrie, but I reset it back to stock settings before trip. My trans. strated shifting funny with the SCT program a few weeks back, so I deleted it and went back to stock setting for the trip. That was also running at 70 to 75 mph the majority of the trip. Will be returning home on Monday so I'll see how it does on the return trip.:supercool:

I get 20 on a trip without trying, the best I got was setting the cruise at 60 and driving through the white mountains to Sunday River, uphill the entire way, 25 MPG.

just remember that the ave mpg on the dash display is about .5 mpg high or optimistic, do your own math and you'll see the difference. I got my 07 up to 26 briefly today, right after a fill up, but ended the day with 23.0 today. Going up to see family Friday night and then to see the kids today was 21.77 before filling up, mostly interstate, never above 70mph
