my baby reeled in a gold award today at the "vettes at vanderbilt museum show" in centerport long island.

that bring it's total to 13 awards since i purchased it in oct 01. she is a 1988 35th anniversary, # 0627 of only 2,050 built. chevy rpo option is ZO1 that includes, white exterior, interior and white wheels as well as special emblems. currently she has 19,650 miles.

it was beautiful day and a great feeling watching my son pick up the trophy at the awards presentation :D

Dewd, The least you could have done was take some new pics...

Sheesh..........

AND I say this again, since it was THE only 35TH there ( because most people would not buy it) thats why it won !!!!!!

Congrats Gary, nice job!

I was supposed to go to a Ford Only show today , but had to go to Delaware because my brother-in law passed away yesterday.

once again you crack me up. but its a shame because your statement is so true.

when i had my 69 coronet superbee i used to do shows all the time and i cant tell you

how many times i seen trophy's handed out where there was only 1 car in the class.

i had one guy at a local ford dealers AACA show that won for his 70 charger one of only

2 cars in its class that day.

it was a real rag of a car but was better than the rust bucket parked next to it which got the second place trophy as there were 3 trophy's in each category.

to make a long story short, the following week was the mopar atlantic nationals at englishtown raceway park and there was this guy with the charger with that huge first place trophy sitting in front of the car and i heard him bragging about how

" he had the best car out of ALL the others at that show last week"

i didnt bust his bubble but i was thinking yeah you had the best out of all 2 of them:lol:

by the way this is my 25th anniversary corvette

gary d, thanks and sorry to hear of your loss. coastiejoe, thanks as well .

todd, so sorry to inform you the car is ALWAYS placed in the C-4 generation class ( 1984-1996 ), and at almost every show there are more C-4's there than any other generation.

it does not get any special credit for being a very rare vette. it appears you seem to be a little jealous ? ;)

btw, your right i need new photo's with all 13 awards :D

WP23N,

Gary s and I rip each other apart every chance we get, IF you knew some of the things we have said in person, I am sure 1 of us would have been banned from the site !!!! LOL

i figured you were ripping on him because you asked for new photos before breaking his stones about his trophy's.

on the other hand it really is a shame because intentional or not what you said is true in about 95% of the cases where trophy's are won.

wp23n, when you and todd z purchased your s/t's, did you guys request the ugliest color available. todd z and i bash each other in jest at every opportunity we get. since you were agreeing with him , i felt it necessary to take a shot back. LOL :D

Gary,

man i love stone breaking and i look forward to a

actual meet where it can be done in person.

so all i have to say to your ugly color comment is

"Great minds think a like"
