Will be here Sunday or Monday! Coming from Louisville, KY.

I will be owner #4. All previous owners worked at the Louisville, KY Ford truck plant, including the guy I'm buying it from.

It's in perfect condition mechanically. It has 170,000 miles on it.

LOL yeah :)

That's why I have not gotten to the Magnaflow exhaust video for my STA lol. This and my newborn are all I can think about hehe.

Also, my wife and I bought a 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Sedan Limited yesterday. It's replacing her 2010 STi Hatchback. The hatch is just to small with a baby.

I plan on repainting the interior and replacing the carpet completely.

Eventually I'm going to go built with it. once the engine dies. For about $4000 I can have a forged long block with tric flow heads installed. I planned on using the OEM supercharger and running a 10# pulley to max the boost once I go built.

Untill then I'm just doing a 6# pulley and a LFP stage 3 power package. Going to lower it 1.5 front and 2.5 rear.

Also plan on selling that tonneau cover and going with a more useful Xtang Trifecta cover.

psycareyo

if you want a 22 y/o son let me know lol

love the lightning and the subi :haveabeer:

theres a guy here in town, thats looking to trade his lightning for a 04+ sport trac :banghead:

got it at 4am this morning.

What a MONSTER. I had no idea how powerful these things are. I mean..one can only guess what 415/490 RWHP feels like in a 4670 pound truck. I couldn't be happier right now.

I think I'm going to reduce the pulley size a little. I don't want this thing grenading on me with a 6PSI pulley.

The L is also a LOT smaller than I had invisioned. I was shocked. The STA is a chunk bigger.

It needs a bank1 o2 sensor, door lock actuators and some paint on the inner bottom side of the driver's door.

I'm also going to Rhino line the bed right away.

It has nearly black window tint that I actually HATE. I can't see to back this thing up at night lol.

The best part is that on the KY title, the seller put the selling price as $1,000!!!!!!! HAHAHA. Saves me about $400 at the NYS DMV.

When I was making the deal on my Trac. There was a silver'04 L with 2 tone gray and blue interior. On the show room floor. I almost switched. The wife at the time reminded me I had the '94 stang with $10K of performance work. Im glad I got the Trac. I still think about that lighting, though. Especialy now that I sold the 'stang.

Caryeo, very nice SVT......:supercool:

As for the taxes, IMO, once a vehicle is sold when new, the SALES tax on it should be OVER. To Re-Tax a vehicle for SALES, is double taxation. Have I ever fudged on a sales price, Yep. Do I feel bad about it, Nope.. Not at all.

If I buy a Lawn mower, I pay sales tax. If I sell that mower to my neighbor, he doenst pay any tax. Its property right? and being Resold? Yep. And as for the value, some of the mowers cost more than a cheap econobox, so whats the difference? Legal "Double Taxation" For the tax, do we get free safety inspections? free smog inspections? free plates? anything at all? Nope, not a thing for it.

You may say the car is on the road, and thus uses the resources of the city, state, etc...? Well, thats what property taxes are for, (not sales tax). And I do pay property tax on my home, 3 vehicles, 1 motorcycle, 2 trailers, a boat, and some rural acerage I have.

Sorry, I dont feel bad for the city or the state, nor for anyone paying less sales tax on a USED vehicle. Just my opinion, and I am sure some will dissagree. Sorry Rant over...

Wow. How about working to change the laws if you disagree with them, instead of screwing the rest of the honest people who do pay their taxes.

I guess it is also OK to slash your own tires when they get worn out, and then file an insurance claim to get new ones paid for?

Where does dishonesty and cheating the system draw the line?

Gavin, Rest assured, I pay my fair share and then some... I have 3 adult kids that live with me, and I cant claim them on my income tax. Do I claim them anyway, no. Is it fair? Hell no, its not. (I worked 2 jobs, 1 FT, 1 PT, and my wife worked full time, and we had to pay both the state and federal this year.

Let me ask you this, have you ever bartered anything?

Here is an example.

Over 15 years ago, I helped guy out by installing a electrical breaker box to replace his old fuse box. The deal was that I pay for the materials and do the labor, and he would trade me a '78 Monte Carlo he had. The materials cost me about $125.00, and I had about 8 hours time in it. When he filled out the title he listed the sale price as $125.00.

So, to "do the right thing" I should have billed him for the parts (Which I had paid sales tax on), plus lets say $60.00 an hour for labor (And thats cheap), for a total of $605.00, then turned around and handed him the $605.00 for the car, and paid sales tax on $605.00. (Even though the actual cash didnt exchange hands) >> According to what I have been told and read, this is how it should be handled as it was "Value + goods" traded for "tangible Property" thus it is all taxable. How would you have handled that exact situation? (Just as one example)

Not trying to argue or cause problems here, but we all try to save money where we can. As for changing the laws, I would gladly vote for the change, (Not the Obama change) but the government will never agree to anything that takes money away from them. When you are working 60+ hours a week, plus taking care of a home, doing repairs on it, etc.., yes it can make you a bit disgruntled when you are paying a double tax.

Sorry to the admins... I got off on a bit of a tangent, so with all do haste..

:back2topic:

All else aside, that is a great looking lightning there. :supercool:
