who is the most law abiding citizen? cayman or gavin ? :bwahaha:

dave, so true on the tax issue. i have always had a problem with the tax issue. how many times are you going to tax the same item ???? :fire:

:back2topic:

that is a nice truck. good luck

Someone start a thread in OT about taxes. That way, those that have an impossible burning desire to voice their opinion on what's right, wrong and unfair can do so. Then I could talk about how all my tax dollars are paying for the wellfare system abuse that's well documented in Clinton county NY or how my taxes pay for people to be unemployed for over a year and a half and go out drinking 4 nights a week on my dime.

I took a little back today.

I honestly could care less what people think about the sales tax in my auto purchase.

I didn't ask for it. He simply did it and made it an extra perk for me. I was grateful he did.

Sue me.

Oooh! 4.10's and custom calibrations? You need to run the SVT on a track against the STA! I'll drive whichever one you don't!

My guess is the SVT would dominate, but you never know..........

More pics please

lol....true :)

Got pulled over on the way home last night though. No ticket but the trooper adviced me to remove the tint and put something less dark on it if I wanted something.

:eek:fftopic: Not a new thread but,

I certainly Have problem with sales taxing a vehicle everytime it is sold. A fee for title transfer should be the end of it. So I have been known to cheat the system...:btddhorse: I sleep very well at night.

It's almost cruel to take a picture of that truck in front of a sign which reads Speed Limit 35 MPH...right in front of a sign which reads Speed Limit 20 MPH. I notice that your pic @ the pump doesn't show the pump readout, namely the $. That extra 400 bucks is going back into the fuel taxes, so no harm done

Also, my wife and I bought a 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Sedan Limited yesterday. It's replacing her 2010 STi Hatchback. The hatch is just to small with a baby.

And to think that most people go with minivans...

I can't say that I personally go for windshield tint, but if was good enough for the cops in KY, why do the NYS cops decided to take issue? :banghead:

NYS wants money? That's about all I could come up with.

I started removing it myself last night. Coming off nicely. I turned the heat up and let the truck run for 30. Then I took Windex with Ammonia and that really helped the glue from sticking to the window. After that I sprayed it down with the Windex and used a straight style razor to remove all the left over glue and dirt. It turned out perfect. The hardest part was when the tint layers seperate. The thin layer was very hard to get off because it would break if I tried to peel it.

I still have to do the monster front windshield. I'll do that tonight.

Bad news. Have to rebuild the rear end/axle. Has leaky seals and while it's being fixed, I'm going to change the 3:55 to 4:10s. It can be driven now but I just can't let it go on forever. I believe in fixing things as soon as they brake.

...and it begins.:bwahaha:

I know it's a Sport Trac forum, but I will follow your work with this SVT if you share it here. Good luck and nice purchase.
