My Speaker Solution

I know, it's not the best, but it worked like a charm. at home down with the flu, snowing like crazy outside, i already had the door panels off, and the speakers removed. i had dynamated the area around the speaker opening as well. then i hit the forum and find ut that i either cut the facotry harness, or go out and buy adapters.



with time on my side a silly idea came to mind. i hacked off the black plug on the factory speaker, checked for negative and positive wires, and soldered it onto the new speakers - direct plug-in! simple installation, and sounds awesome!

Yeah, that works but you could have e-bayed the OEM speakers which would have more than paid for the adapters.



Just be sure to tape the hacked part with electrical tape before letting it loose inside your door so it doesn't contact other metal structure and short. I'd also recommend shortening the leads you made.
