saw news footage, that whole area got hit really hard, Glad your ok, and my prayers go out to the families with losses..

I lived in Baton Rouge for a little while. The summer weather was wicked nuts even without a hurricane. Good to hear the ST (and you and yours) are okay.



I've seen 2 different STs in the background of N.O. news coverage. One had a load of stuff with the bed extender out. Hope it wasn't a ST looter.
 
Good luck- hope the plan to fill the levee breaks works- I'm a bit surprised there was absolutely no plan for this, given the studies done by Tulane and LSU showing the likelihood.
 
Politics play a large role in this kind of thing. Workers I've talked to from that area have said it's very difficult to get a major work like that done there unless it's just really in your face. I hope this is in your face enough.
 
I think I read somewhere that the NO major was complaining that bureaucracy delayed some work on the levee that could have helped in this situation
