Well,, I'm stuck with my E-150. It just threw a rod at 90K. 6K to replace my 5.4........... After 3 hours, I worked out a deal for a remanufactured 5.4 long block from FORD, swapped and installed,,, 3K

THIS SUCKS!!! :angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

Oh man that sucks !! I can't believe it threw a rod @ 90K . I have gotten awesome mileage out of my mod motors. I will say I do like the 4.6L better than the 5.4L though.

If it makes you feel better, the last two days had me wishing for my E250 back! That 2100+ lbs in the TC yesterday was NOT a comfortable feeling! With the equipment/supplies/inventory you carry you may well be better off with your E-van. If I carried that weight on any regular basis the ball-cap-on-wheels would be gone!

Sometimes things happen for the best my friend!

Nice squashed graphic you have there though.:sad:

I would have put a Junk yard motor in it and then got rid of it and got the TC

Thanks for the pep talk Steve.. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

Gavin,,, not until they take it out.

Todd,, the Junk Yard motor with labor is 2800$.......... 200 more for a "new" motor with 36 month/100000 mile warranty. Better than original!

Now I have to poop out 3K by Wed.

"new" motor with 36 month/100000 mile warranty. Better than original! sheez

Shame we cant get that on new ones. Of course they are betting you wont keep it much longer.

i was just offering an alternative to getting rid of it and maybe shopping around you could have found a cheaper install and just unloaded it...

thats all i was saying...

Hey Todd,,, the <b> sheez </b> was NOT sent towards you,,, what I meant is SHEEZE, I can get a new, better warranty motor.... I have a bad habit of wording things pretty crappy sometimes... Did I make that clear as mud???????? I took off the sheeze, so I would not sound stupid.

we gooooood:haveabeer::supercool::supercool::supercool:

Sheeze is a lot better than i would say in this case. When i read the Scheeze, I thought you were talking about the motor being better than new, not that you were into Todd. You're one of the most polite members on here. I hope it all works out with the new motor.

Take care,

07,,, you got my meaning.... Thanks for the compliment, 99.99999999% of the time I won't slam anyone! But I have voiced my opinion a few timse in the past 10 years....:banana:

Hey Todd,,,, WE COOL??????:haveabeer:

now it's time for a new dream,,,,, a vehicle wrap!

When you decide to do your wrap, give this guy a call. He is a talented designer and does great quality work. He had over 30 years of experience. Great guy to deal. Here is his website.

P.S. He is also my father. And yeah, thats me when i was in highschool beside the world series sign in the middle of the home page.

If you do call him for a wrap, make sure you tell him I sent you. I take advantage of his design skills without paying for them way too often.

Steve M is right. My town has two nationally famous BBQ restaurants with in 4 miles of each other. Both are Bridges. I am assuming Steve is referring to Red Bridges, its where most of the out of towners go to first. More of the locals go to Austin Bridges. Both are amazing!

I've been to Austin's several times and they are real good but I prefer Red's. My daughter will be starting @ Gardner-Webb soon so I'll have an excuse to stop for BBQ more often!:supercool:
