I've posted many, what I hoped, were good and helpful answers to other's

questions. Now I've got a couple of questions, myself:

What is that seemingly "wide open throttle" noise that I hear on my trac after it

has been sitting overnight, or longer, on initial startup? It sounds like I have

my foot buried in the accellerator for about 1-2 seconds, and then all is normal?

WFoy,

Where do I get my PCM code from my trac to give to you, to get one of your

excellent tunes for my trac, and how much will it cost me? I know cost is dependant

on what I want, and here is what I want:

50% mileage improvement, 50% performance improvement, if that is possible?

Also, I'm not that computer saavy. I don't have a laptop that I can download

to my trac, nor is my home computer (Win '95) that capable, either!

How do your "tunes" download to the tracs?

Sorry,

I just realized, 50% and 50% is not possible!

I meant a combination of slightly better performance, and slightly better fuel

economy! 50/50 split, in other words!!!

Sorry for the mis-communication!;)

1) IAC motor doing it's job keeping the idle higher for warm up. Normal

2) SEE pic below.. The computer is located in the passenger side fire wall under the hood. There is a 4 digit code on the label...

3) Wayne can send you the xcal all ready loaded so no computer is needed... He can get you a mix tune if needed... He is the Man !!!...

4) You upload the tune into the trac via the tuner's cable and the trucks diagnostic port..Everything you need comes with the tuner...

Hope this helps

EVERY trac owner should buy the xcal. You just can't understand how great they are until you've ridden in a trac that's had the xcal used on it, or you drive one yourself. You will swear that it has got a new, better transmission.

I am interested in the same as tracnblack and have the same questions, especially what the price is.

FROM Wayne's web site in the sponsors section....

HIA Tuned XCalibrator 1

$299.00

HIA Tuned Xcalibrator 2

$379.00

Both claim to increase horsepower, torque & throttle response. So what's the difference between the two?

That's cool. I was thinking of purchasing one. Of course if I got the one from Wfoy it would only read the ST, so I need to decide if it would be better to purchase a seperate one or not. Especially since I have 4 vehicles currently in the family that I maintain.

the xcal2 will read ANY Ford OBDII codes....not just sport trac...

Do you have a picture of the xcal?

Is it like a hypertech (handheld), etc...

(Where it is just a self-contained unit?)

Does it come with instructions?

And all I would have to do is plug it into the ALDL, or COMM Port under the

drivers side of the dash, and follow the instructions to download?

Thanks, all, for your answers!

tnb:)

Other than the cost (money is a little tight right now) the only other thing that has kept me from seriously considering one of these is the worry that if I have any transmission problems the dealer won't cover it under warranty because I changed stuff like shift point and the like. Am I wrong about this?
