I recently changed the factory radio out of my 01 ST for a Pioneer 3100DVD. About a week after halloween it got stolen. The worse part is the car was parked in my driveway in a residential neighborhood. I finally got some money from the insurance company and am now looking to replace the unit and install an alarm.

I have about $450 to spend total and wanted some suggestions. I went to look around at some places today and they we suggesting some name brands I have never heard of and can't find anything on online. My main thing I want is a double din unit with good onscreen ipod controls, bluetooth and possibly satellite radio ready. A detachable face would be nice but they seem to be a bit out of my price range.

Has anybody heard of a brand Marlon Audio? A store showed me one and it looked to have everything but have never heard anything about them.

Thanks for the help.

never heard of "Marlon".

I bought a referb. sony unit and am very happy with it....

Sony Mex-1hd...

It was discontinued a few years ago but its quite a unique player...

Note worthy features

>MP3 AAC play back

>internal hard drive

>Tray drive mechanism

>its kinda crippled by DRM (digital right management) but it can read memory sticks and usb players but in order to put stuff on hard drive you must rip it off a CD

I picked one up for $250 on ebay and have had it for a year now.

If your able to find one in good condition it is defiantly worth the $200 or so

I don't think you're gonna find what you want for that spending range, not for an alarm and the H.U. you want. I suggest looking on Craiglist or possibly even eBay for them. I have the factory cd/tape h.u.from my '03 ST for sale, $120 shipped but it's not exactly what your looking for.

I would suggest not looking at Crutchfield. I have never found their prices to be the lowest on any of the audio equipment I have bought. I agree with Jerry that your budgets is tight for both a HU and an Alarm. Find a local audio shop or something and go talk to them

You should check with member swshawaii to see if he still has the alpine double din head unit for sale. Can't go wrong with alpine...
