Need help with 6 disc Changer

I just bought a 6 disc changer off ebay. I get a disc error and it will not let me eject disc or load discs. Can anybody give me any suggestions as to what is wrong

It should have been shipped with 6 blank disc's or with a shipping bracket, IF not it may have been broken during shipment...

As Todd has noted, the way it is shipped is critical. Here is the shipping bracket for example.

More often than not, you will receive a defective unit if shipped without this bracket or being loaded with disks.



There are two fuses that operate the unit. One is marked, one is not. One is for memory, one is for running/operating power.



If you remove BOTH fuses it will reset. That is your only chance as I see it...

where are the fuses located? on the back?

Fuse panel, drivers side, end of dash. One is marked, the other is not. It is part of another circuit. I do not recall which though, sorry..

I have this problem twice. Each time I have left it overnight and in the morning it has

reset itself.
