Need help with keypad

I can't seem to get a door keypad to work. It will lock and illuminate, but will not unlock. So, I tried one from a '97 Explorer which plugged in and also locked the truck but did not unlock. I have another one from a 2001 Trac and havent tried yet because of the wiring. That has 6 wires, mine has 8 and the 1997 has 9. I have no idea whats up with his darn thing. I took pics that are in my library. I sure would appreciate any help.

You don't need a code to lock, have you tried reprogramming your unlock code? Tried the factory code, if you have programmed you own?

Yah, I tried all of that. Nothing seems to work. Its almost like the code got erased from the computer....

Is your '01 a Job 1 or Job 2? I can send you diagnostics. Possibly a broken wire in the door boot?

That would be great. Mine is a job 1 and I am thinking the other keypad I bought from a member is a job 2.
