I will be pulling a single axle enclosed trailer with luggage for our youth group from B'ham to Orlando with the Sport Trac. I won't be towing much of anything very often, so I only need the basics. My last two vehicles had the ball and harness already.

1) Can I pull this trailer with only the use of the bumper? I was told by a friend that I could easily. It's a u-haul sized trailer.

2) I know I need a 2 inch ball, but.....what size shank is the hole in the bumper?

3) Where can I get a wiring harness? Wal-Mart or Auto Zone?

AND How and where do I connect it to the 2005 Trac?

Thanks,

Joe

your ST is pre wired it is on the driverside under the bumper and the ball is going to be what ever the trailer requires

As long as the tongue weight of the trailer does not exceed the bumper's max. rated capacity (~200 lb) you should be fine. The 2" ball should have a 3/4" shank which is extremely common and can be found anywhere (Wal*Mart, U-Haul, Home Depot, etc.)

I asked the same questions. Checkou some good replies i got.
